Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about compatibility, installation, warranty & operation
Will ABS and ESP work with TAVRUS calipers?
▾Yes. The system is engineered for your specific vehicle, keeping the factory ABS sensors and their mounting points. Electronics are not modified — ABS/ESP work as factory. Correct fitment by model and specifications is required.
Is it compatible with ADAS (AEB, adaptive cruise)?
▾Yes, with correct fitment. Sensors and cameras are not affected. When installed by an authorized partner, a verification protocol is provided.
Will calipers interfere with parking sensors or TPMS?
▾No. Parking sensors and TPMS are installed as factory; calipers don't interfere with their zones. Adapters are included when needed.
Which vehicles are supported?
▾Target: LC200/LC300, LX570/600, Tank 300/500. Expansion: Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Porsche — in development. Precise fitment via the on-site configurator (make/model/year).
Can I install only the front calipers?
▾Yes, kits are separate (front/rear). For balanced braking we recommend a full axle set.
Will it fit modern premium crossovers and electric vehicles?
▾Compatibility with these brands is in development — we'll test and publish the list as it becomes ready. Fitment is currently available for target models.
Is installation difficult? Where can I get them fitted?
▾Installation at an authorized installer takes 3–4 hours (front axle). Hardware and adapters included. DIY installation is possible, but warranty and verification protocol are only provided by partners.
Are the factory calipers retained?
▾Yes. The kit installs without irreversible modifications — factory calipers can be kept and the car returned to stock.
What's included in the kit?
▾Calipers, discs, pads, brake hoses (optional), hardware, adapters, installation guide.
Does installation affect the dealer warranty?
▾No structural changes are made and factory mounting points are preserved. We recommend installation by an authorized partner — a protocol confirming correct installation is issued.
What warranty is provided?
▾Official product warranty — terms are fixed in the dealer's warranty card. Valid when installed by an authorized partner.
What is the lifespan of discs and pads?
▾Steel discs: 50–80k km. Carbon-ceramic: up to 300,000 km. Pads: 20–40k km depending on driving style. Lifespan depends on vehicle weight and operating conditions.
Is maintenance required?
▾Periodic inspection at every pad replacement. S Series dust seals protect pistons from dirt — the optimal choice for daily use.
What about certification?
▾EAC certification is in progress: tests are conducted as part of the vehicle — a full verification cycle on real cars. Once obtained, the certificate will be published.
Do I need to register the modifications with traffic police?
▾Brakes are a safety-related component. If no structural changes are made and installation preserves factory mounting points — the matter is resolved individually. We recommend a consultation before installation if the vehicle is used on public roads.
Does it affect insurance (OSAGO/CASCO)?
▾OSAGO — no effect. For CASCO we recommend notifying the insurer about modifications — practice varies by company.
Can I drive on track and off-road?
▾Yes, the systems are built for high loads. R Series — track, S Series — street + light track, N Series — GT/sport.
How does TAVRUS differ from factory "luxury" brake options?
▾We engineer the system for your specific model and weight: larger discs, multi-piston calipers, heat-resistant pads, Cerakote customization. This is an engineering upgrade with headroom for your driving scenario — not a "factory option for everyone".
